Ok I never thought I would use this place to comment on politics but I just couldn’t help myself. The Foreign minister of Iceland (Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir) has decided to pull out it’s only member in Iraq. I have never been in favor of the war in Iraq and don’t know too much about warfare in general but I suspect it might be reckless just to abandon it. But pulling out one will hardly matter. But then again one has to think about how Iceland entered the war. Some have said that the decision to support US President Bush in going to war in Iraq was made illegally since the Prime minister (Davið Oddson) and Foreign minister (Halldór Ásgrímsson) circumvented the Parliamentary process. So that has now been corrected somewhat.
